In Celebration of the Centennial of the City of West Toronto

The photographs reflect a sample of the variety of unique buildings that I have come to appreciate over the past fifty years since my family immigrated to the West End of Toronto.

The various architectural styles span the past century and exude a vibrancy of the people who came to rebuild their lives here.

This is the fruit of the tradesmen, labourers, artist and artisans whom have all contributed to make the Junction what it is today.

Over the years the Junction has evolved into a diverse community with its heart remaining intact, forever attracting people from all over the world.

These images show the Junction during an afternoon walk on “The Dundas” on Easter Sunday. 2008.

It is amazing how much there is above our heads and all around us waiting to be acknowledged and appreciated for the inspiration they instill.

The connection with the Junction spans five decades. Sometimes life allows us a moment to capture an essence of past experiences to a timeless space.
